I am using her for drugs. Never thought I would be using a person for drugs, but I am.
I'm certainly not using her for her expertise. I trusted her initially, but too many cracks have appeared in the facade. She changes treatment plans seemingly willy-nilly. She isn't familiar with more recent thinking about the poor relationship between MRI imaging and symptom expression in MS. She hasn't heard of some common MS symptoms.
When she told me that the bugs crawling feeling had to be depression, because it's not seen in MS, I took to the intertubes. It turns out that lots of people with MS have not only that but some even weirder sensory disturbances. Some people feel like liquid or wax are dropping on them. Some people feel like they are on fire (glad I don't have that one). Our nerves are all screwy. It seems like that could cause any number of "crazy" symptoms.
I can't wait to see the specialist. I hope he will listen to me with an open mind. I think I will really despair if he doesn't.
I'm going to post what I found about their MS center.
