Getting Worse... Sigh

I had the pleasure of visiting the gynecologist. My vagina is still there (good thing they check every year). And my yeast infection is not.

Sensory:

-Pins and needles: 5, left let and right side of tongue (NEW SYMPTOM). Rather painful.
-Tingles: 2, up the outside of my left forearm and hand
-Dysesthetic pain: 7, sometimes just left leg, sometimes burning skin on both thighs, front and back. Clothes hurt sometimes. And sometimes ok!
-Paresthesias: 5, electricity, some prickles like bugs jumping onto me

-Numbness: 2
-Vision: 0-1
-Nerve pain: 4
-Hearing: 0? I don't know... never quiet enough to tell. I'm using a fan at night, so it is not even quiet at night.

Motor:
-Walking: 1
-Sore muscles: 3, still that left shoulder

-Spasticity: 2
-Weak muscles: 5, doors keep getting heavier!

-Endurance: 5

-Fine motor: 1, seems like I have a tremor in the morning, and it gets better in the afternoon. I wonder why.

Cognitive:
-Processing: 4, my word finding was bad. "She needs to mess with the uh um the you know thing. (What thing?) Here in um the starter sourdough starter."
-Memory: 0
-Attention: 0
-Confusion: 0

General:
-Fatigue: 7
-Balance: 0, not counting in the dark

-Vertigo: 0

-Sleep: 5, I got 7 hours but very broken up. Woke up at least half a dozen times.

-Bladder: 1, from medication
-Proprioception: 1
-Swallowing: 1
-A: 2
-B: 0

Emotions: I don't know if it is emotional, but I cried from exhaustion and frustration this evening. For a few minutes. Yes, I get it was emotional.

Weird Day

I had a weird day today. First off, I had trouble sleeping again because of the heat--I should probably begin using the air conditioner. But it's only the middle of March! Anyway, being kind of tired might have contributed to the way I felt today.

Mostly I just felt off. Weird. Sometimes my heart seemed to beat faster. Sometimes I had to work to pay attention and process the world. But there were hours where I felt okay. Not normal-okay, but at least everyday-MS-okay.

I had a pretty good PT session. Mostly I rocked it all, except when she wanted me to work on balance with my eyes closed. She must have needed a good laugh.

I have a weird headache. Above my right eye, directly underneath my eyebrow, toward the inner side of my eyebrow. Now it is right above my right eyebrow, more toward the outer side. (NEW SYMPTOM, or at least hasn't been around for a while)

And my tongue went partially numb this afternoon. It has not come back. (NEW SYMPTOM, or at least hasn't been around for a while)

Ugh, I am so tired. Let's do this thing.

Emotions: Today I began reading The Feeling Good Handbook, which my shrink recommended. I like it so far.

Great Day

I had a great day today, including a good PT session with an assistant. She worked on my shoulder--ow. But it is looser now, so that is good.

-Pins and needles: 1, in my tongue. But different than before--it was in the back. Hopefully just a one time thing. (NEW symptom)

-Walking: 1, sometimes I do not know how to rate this. Endurance is such a problem that I cannot walk far, but my gait for short distances is good.

Cognitive:
-Processing: 1

-Vertigo: 0, except if I close my eyes while lying down. Then I have vertigo every time. Weird. And head position does not matter.

-Sleep: 3, 7.5 hours but it was broken up by periods of sleeplessness. I finally figured out that I was hot. Duh.

Emotions: Fine, except when I got my neuropsych report in the mail and got a bit anxious. I have not opened it. Maybe more than a bit anxious when I think about it.

Happy PT Day

I worked with a PT assistant today. Boo. It was alright. Not as good, because the assistants are not able to modify things based on my abilities, like challenging me if I am doing well or problem solving if I am not.

I did not have a lot of pain until the evening, when my right leg began cramping painfully. That continued until bed time. Otherwise my day was fine.

Sensory:

-Pins and needles: 2, right leg near ankle (NEW symptom--or returning?)
-Tingles: 1
-Dysesthetic pain: 3
-Paresthesias: 4, some sharp pains in my left hand between index finger and thumb--felt like knife stab or large needle, also right leg near ankle electric shocks

-Numbness: 3
-Vision: 1
-Nerve pain: 3, left leg
-Hearing: 1

Motor:
-Walking: 3 day, 9 when leg spasming
-Sore muscles: 9, with spasms

-Spasticity: 9--spasms in right lower leg, lateral side
-Weak muscles: 3

-Fine motor: 1

Cognitive:
-Processing: 0
-Memory: 1
-Attention: 0
-Confusion: 0

General:
-Fatigue: 5
-Balance: 1, having problems in the morning, especially the first 15 minutes

Emotions: I am trying to remember. No tears. Happy, I guess. A little worried in the evening when the cramps kept coming and I could not bear weight on that leg sometimes.
